Child Safety Standards
Fyreflock is for adults, and it is built to keep children out of it. This page is our published standard against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), and what we actually do to enforce it.
What is forbidden
Zero tolerance, and it covers conduct as well as material. On Fyreflock nobody may:
- share, request or store child sexual abuse material (CSAM);
- groom a child, or build a relationship with one for the purpose of sexual exploitation;
- sextort anyone, or threaten to publish images to coerce them;
- traffic a child, or advertise one for sex;
- sexualise a child in any other way, in words or on camera.
Any of these ends the account permanently. There is no warning and no second attempt.
Nobody under 18
- Every account gives a date of birth when it is created. It is written once and cannot be edited afterwards.
- The age check runs on our server rather than in the browser, and it is read fresh on every match, so changing a stored date later cannot get past it.
- It applies everywhere in the product. There is no room, mode or invitation that opens earlier.
- Google Play is instructed to stop users it determines to be minors from finding or installing Fyreflock.
Reporting, without leaving the app
- Every call and every chat carries a report button.
- Underage is a category of its own rather than being folded into “other”, so those reports are never lost among the rest.
- A report carries its own evidence automatically: a still frame of the reported video and the chat log. The person reporting does not have to capture anything.
- You can also write to us at the address below without opening the app at all.
What happens to a report
- Underage reports sort to the top of the moderation queue, ahead of every other category.
- Two separate people reporting the same account is enough to move it into a restricted pool, where it can only be matched with other reported accounts.
- Suspected CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement.
A ban outlives the account
Deleting an account does not clear a ban. A one-way hash of the email address and the device is kept for exactly that reason, and it is the only thing kept. Deleting and signing up again does not work.
